HSFE's goal is to promote literacy and education in underserved communities in the Phoenix Metro Area, primarily through its Barrio Bookmobile program, by providing children and teens with free books to help foster a lifelong love of reading.
A native of Phoenix, Richard has been active in educational community service for over twenty years including mentoring students at his grade school alma mater, Wilson Elementary, volunteering at Glendale High School, and serving on the Board of the Aguila Youth Leadership Institute.
